Special Needs,Adaptive Aquatic Swim
I am a Certified Level 3 Swim Whisperer, with decades of experience working with Autism and sensory, ADHD and other emotionally/mentally/behaviorally children and young adults. ABC Little Swimmers does Private 1:1 sessions and modifies the swim sessions and goals to meet the needs of the individual students.
-Little Bitty Baby Swimmers for 0-6 months. This is a *free year round class offered twice a month for parent/baby year round. Water exercise has been proven to be a boost for intellectual, emotional and physical development not to mention a wonderful bonding experience for parent and child.
-Parent and Child Aquatics levels 1-2
Parents/Guardian are present in the water, guiding children in learning skills such as floating on back, breath control and finding the wall. Beginning with basic water comfort, swimming foundations and safety techniques that are very bond forming.(a bonus)
-Survival FLOAT is available To ALL ages of swimmers who are at an entry level to learn as they develop readiness to learn proper stroke techniques. Swimming, (Swim-Float-Swim) will be taught along with the float for toddlers who are ready, and Treading & gliding will also be learned upon progression for older youth, and adults.
Duration is dependent on age with a min of 3-5x a week, for best results!
-Preschool Aquatics levels 1 to 3
Perfect for preschool age 2.5 - 5 year olds. At level 1. We begin with water comfort and survival skills, FLOAT and basic swim skills, and continue progression with stroke readiness skills through levels 2 & 3.
-Learn to Swim Aquatics levels 1 to 6
New members will be accessed for level at first session.

-Back Floats and Front Floats (with support)
-Changing direction (with support)
-Swimming (with support)
-Monkey Walking along side of pool
Learn to Swim Level 2
-Continued Survival skills
-Getting to the wall
-Getting to the steps & ladder
-Shallow water diving for objects on steps
-Taking a life preserver or float that is thrown to them.
-Float on back and Front (unsupported)
-Swim-Float- Swim
Learn to Swim Level 3
-Continue Survival Skills
-Gliding on back and Front
-Freestyle, Backstroke, treading, breathing skills.
-Introduction to more Advanced strokes
Learn to Swim Level 4
-Free Style, Back stroke
-Breast Stroke
-Butterfly
-Side Stroke
-Elementary Back Stroke
Learn to Swim Level 5 & 6
-Refine skills & breathing for all strokes or wishing to work specifically on preferred stroke(s) for competition level performance.
Adult Aquatic Swim
Adult Swim is perfect for........
- adults who have no or little swimming experience
-adults who had a bad experience as a child
-adults who are fearful of water
-adults who just want to improve their swim skills
-a low impact way for adults to get exercise
Water Safety is an important part of all of my Aquatic classes
**Registration fee of $40 an Individual $60 per family (within the same household) yearly.
RATES:
All Classes with the exception of Infant/Toddler Survival FLOAT are approximate 30 minutes long and fees are:
-MONTHLY FEE IS $120= 1 session wkly
-MONTHLY FEE IS $200=2 sessions wkly
-MONTHLY FEE IS $250=3 sessions wkly
Application fee must be paid prior to first lesson and tuition must be paid on or before first lesson for first month. Due on 20th of each month, thereafter.

Our Instructor is Lisa Hopper is Certified Level 3 in Adaptive Swim Whisperers. She is a certified Water Safety Instructor through Red Cross. Our Instructor, Lisa is the proud mother of 3 and MANY Grand babies including a new set of twins!
Lisa has a background in Psychology. She spent years working with children and young adults who were ASD, ADHD, MMR, Anxiety Disorder, Behavior issues, etc. She also spent many years working with and taking care of difficult to place foster children for the local mental health agency in Asheville NC.
